Ally McCoist: Rangers Legend and Record Scorer

Early Life and Career

Ally McCoist was born on September 24, 1962, in Bellshill, Scotland. He began his playing career with St. Johnstone in 1979 before moving to Rangers in 1983. He quickly established himself as a prolific goalscorer, helping Rangers win numerous domestic and European titles.

International Career

McCoist also represented Scotland at the international level. He made his debut in 1986 and went on to score 19 goals in 61 appearances for his country.

Management Career

After retiring as a player, McCoist began his management career with Kilmarnock in 2006. He later managed Rangers, leading them to the Scottish League One title in 2013. He has also worked as a pundit for various television networks.

Legacy

Ally McCoist is considered one of the greatest players in Rangers history. He holds the club's all-time scoring record with 362 goals in 585 games. He is also a member of the Scottish Football Hall of Fame.
